  201. Only Winamp 2.x input plug-ins that use the output plug-in for output are
  202. supported. Furthermore, only plug-ins that can have two identical versions
  203. of itself attached to one process can be used. This unfortunately rules out 
  204. the MAD decoder plug-in, though I think that a simple rebuild of the plug-in 
  205. with a different compiler and linker should make it work since the behaviour 
  206. is obviously not intentional.

  208. Please note that the Winamp input plug-in support is experimental and you
  209. should use it on your own risk. There are inherent differences between the
  210. input system of Apollo and Winamp so the support is really quite a tweak. 
  211. One of the consequences of the differences is that retrieving information 
  212. for tracks will take quite a long with Winamp input plug-ins since they are
  213. not able to provide sufficient data without starting the playback. Thus 
  214. a mock playback must be started for each track which is added to the 
  215. playlist. Also the bitrate information shown on the playlist may not be 
  216. correct with all plug-ins. Streaming with the Winamp's default decoder 
  217. doesn't seem to work either.
